Motability and renewal extension worry

There are a few currently being trialled like pop up kerbside chargers and lamp-post charging but they all seem to be in very affluent areas of London mainly.
My front door is right onto the pavement so theres no way a box would be practical at my place. I wouldn't be comfortable with the risk of vandalism to a street charged car either0 -
I’m lucky enough to live in London so could work for
me in the future1 -
I doubt it. Just think of the row after row of pre 20th Century terraces. If they allow one to have a charger they would have to do everyone. The cost would be extortionately expensive.nathaliroma said:I just need a little run around, but yes I’m not off street either, so it’s a problem. In the future maybe they’ll improve charging for terraces houses ????
On top of that they would have to upgrade all of the underground mains cabling in every street.
I know one guy who bought a Ford Mustang EV. He has to travel some 20 miles up and down the A2M to get to a service station that has fast charging. Other than that he sometimes trails a cable across the pavement. There are just two public charging sites in his town - both are low power and very busy.0
