I just need a little run around, but yes I’m not off street either, so it’s a problem. In the future maybe they’ll improve charging for terraces houses ????

It’s just me, old mum and naughty dog so not much space needed.

There are a few currently being trialled like pop up kerbside chargers and lamp-post charging but they all seem to be in very affluent areas of London mainly.

My front door is right onto the pavement so theres no way a box would be practical at my place. I wouldn't be comfortable with the risk of vandalism to a street charged car either

I doubt it. Just think of the row after row of pre 20th Century terraces. If they allow one to have a charger they would have to do everyone. The cost would be extortionately expensive.
On top of that they would have to upgrade all of the underground mains cabling in every street.
I know one guy who bought a Ford Mustang EV. He has to travel some 20 miles up and down the A2M to get to a service station that has fast charging. Other than that he sometimes trails a cable across the pavement. There are just two public charging sites in his town - both are low power and very busy.
