Hi, I am new to this forum and I am looking for some advice if thats possible. I was assesed for PIP in July 2023 and received back dated monies for PIP and also was awarded ESA monies as well which I had been on for over a year including back dated ESA but only from July 2023, I have received a letter from Esa asking me to fill in a big form so they can assess my abilities but I am so confused as I was awarded ESA so does anyone know why I need to be assessed after being granted ESA at full level and even received backdated monies. I hope this is easy to follow, basically to I need to contact DWP and tell them about my ESA award or do I have to attend this examination. I would really like some advice as I have become so nervous and apprehensive. Thank you so kindly for any advice offered I am hoping this may just be an error.

I'm assuming this is New style ESA that you're claiming, is that correct? Is the form you received the ESA50 form? It will tell you which form it is on the front.

Thank you kindly for your reply, yes its new style ESA and the form is a "capability for work assessment" cannot see any numbers.0

That will be the ESA50 form. Even though you’ve not long been placed into the Support Group, you can be reviewed at anytime. The process is the same as the first time.
You will need to make sure you fill it in and return it no later than the date in the letter.0 -
Hi yes just received mine, today 2nd Jan. I get esa and pip. So I'm filling it in before next week when it's due.
