Still waiting for my motability car.

Yes, as above, the key to switching is finding one currently in stock. I would not trust those '12 week' estimates at all. So it looks like you will just have to wait unfortunately.0

The problem with swapping to another dealership is if they are factory ordering you another car you'll just end up right back at the end of a queue you are already in. Those 12 week quotes are also only estimates and not a set in stone date so unless theres a physical car at the dealership right now that you can have stick with your initial order.
Im currently waiting for a Vauxhall Mokka that my dealership is expecting to be delivered at the end of this month. It is a cancelled order from a previous Motability customer but even that is not guaranteed yet. I have to ring them middle of this month to see if the date they have quoted me is going to hold true.
I shouldn't have been so impulsive, but being stuck in the middle of nowhere, not being able to go for a walk due to anxiety and physical limitations I wanted an escape route, to just be able to drive when it's quiet and get out of my flat or visit my family. I feel suffocated and isolated living by myself in the country and not knowing anyone here.
I am also not so sure I can drive anymore as I haven't driven for 10 years and the anxiety I feel about getting into the car to drive it off the forecourt fills me with utter dread and fear, not to mention this car is automatic, I thought an automatic car would be kinder on my fibromyalgia and arthritis in the spine. I am not sure what adaptations I could get to help with these symptoms. I wonder also if I could claim for lessons as adaptive lessons, but I think that probably does not apply to me.
I only wish my family could drive to see me, but my brother lost his licence so he no longer can help me daily another reason for wanting the car I am currently waiting to be moved to can get the support I need. Sorry for the rant I should be grateful that I am in the position to be able to get a car and some freedom at last.0 -

This car is going to be a lifeline for me but the wait for a vehicle at the moment is absolutely ridiculous. I did manage to speak to the dealership last week and they are now saying they are expecting it the 'middle of february' but to take that date with a 'pinch of salt'. I also asked the dealership a couple of other questions which they claimed they couldn't answer even though I know for a fact one of the responses I got off them was a downright falsehood.
The Mokka I ordered is supposed to be a cancelled order from another customer but when I asked them when the car was initially ordered they are now claiming they can't remember and have no way of checking... The Mokka I have ordered has the ultimate trim, is automatic but has no adaptions and is in Arctic White.
Theres a lot of rumours flying around concerning dealerships saying that Motability orders are deliberately pushed back in favour of cash or finance customers but how true that is I don't know. That being said if you currently go on the Vauxhall main site it is stating that orders placed now should be delivered in July so unless you have only just ordered your Mokka then there may be some truth to those rumours. Who knows?0 -

He did say that if there was a cancellation he would let me know. Looking at forums for Mokkas they discuss long wait times. No doubt by the time it gets here I will have moved as I am desperate to get away from being so isolated as being stuck here with no family or friends is harming my MH and well-being.
I hope you hear shortly and please let me know what it's like to have the Mokka, I didn't have a chance to drive one as my licence was out of date when I ordered it.0 -

The problem I have is that the car allocated to me is supposed to be a cancelled order that was originally expected at the dealership at the end of January but is now showing on their system as being due for delivery middle of February. I spoke to the Motability specialist at the beginning of January and he is now saying he can't remember when the car was originally ordered and that at the moment its not showing an actual build date on his system but from the way he was talking that wasn't unusual.
I plan to ring the dealership again on the 1st Feb to see if theres any update but to be honest I'm not convinced there will be. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't see this car until May even though I'm supposed to be getting it quicker due to it being a cancelled order car0 -

You can always speak to your dealer and ask them what the expected delivery date is showing on their system. Like I said previously mine is a cancelled order but I have no idea when it was originally ordered.
The Dealership itself says the date they have showing on their system for the car is middle of February for now but that could easily change. I will phone them at the start of Feb and see if that has changed. If the car is still due for then they should have more info showing on their system by then.
In terms of building a car I believe they take about 48 hours to assemble once they are on the production line and from what the dealership told me its normally about 2 weeks to ship it from France and receive it at the dealership once its on the way

I don't think 360 is bad at all. I'm assuming you get your full mobility payment in cash until the car arrives. Therfore that 360 would be paid from your mobility. Mobility would in effect be paying you twice should the garage be billing them for use of hire car too. I'm in the same boat....my car was meant to be here mid May and I'm still waiting . Maybe speak to the dealership about giving you a betterfinancial alternative on a hire car ie smaller model etc
