ESA review - mental health, marker on my DWP file

I phoned the DWP to confirm that they have a marker/note on file for mental health, which they confirmed.

In the past, I have been hesitant to go away (not abroad) for a few weeks to stay with a friend, fearing the receipt of the ESA50 form.

I was not aware that if I submit the completed ESA50 form late, my ESA won't be suspended. Could you please confirm if this is the case?

I also checked with the DWP about when my next assessment is supposed to happen. The person I spoke to couldn't find a date and mentioned needing to reach out to a colleague. I told them not to bother just in case poking around triggers an assessment. Figured it's better not to wake a sleeping dog!

I already completed an online ESA50, it's a matter of printing it out and post it. This will lessen my stress when the dreaded form arrives.

When there’s a vulnerability marker on your file DWP will use their own discretion and proceed with a review even if you don’t return your form. Of course it’s in your best interests to return the form because this way you’re providing them with the latest information of how your health conditions affect you.

Even if they did tell you a date, that’s just a guide and doesn’t mean you will be reviewed on that date.
