Hi, I have joined this community for my husband who has two long term health conditions and looks likely to just about receive a third devastating diagnosis and has had to stop work. We have plunged into the benefits system alongside a PIP review (he was already getting the lowest PIP award). I am trying to navigate how best to help him and our family etc with health assessments for 3 conditions that have crossover symptoms? Its really difficult. Paul has Vasculitis, diagnosed 1989, Myeloma diagnosed 2015 and now a highly likely Parkinsons diagnosis. Will he have to go to assessment centres etc or will they take medical evidence?

Hi @hulmie007 and welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear about your husbands possible Parkinsons diagnosis, I understand how hard it can be having more problems thrown at you. We're all here to offer support and help wherever we can.
If you have a look at the Turn2us Benefits calculator, it'll give you an idea of what you can claim and how much you could receive.
With regard to assessments, for any benefits assessments you can ask for a phone based or video assessment, so he wont have to trek anywhere.Albus (he/him)
