@Beaver79 I never knew you had children, your son being 17 I can imagine this is a very very expensive year?? Or has he not shown an interest in driving?
@Lou67 thanks so much for the nice words, it helps me a lot having people I can get support from, I really hope I give something back but probably not as much as I get, it is a big benefit having people to talk with here 😊

That's fantastic about the driving!! It's good to have input from lots of people because every driver has bad habits which they pass on when they teach. If he gets input from a diverse range of people he shouldn't pick up any bad habits. Does he know which car he would buy when he gets his license??
Sounds like your daughter has a nice range of interests as well!!!!! 😊
I can very much relate to your son. I don't like relatives mentioning me online!!! I only ever refer to relatives as "a family member" when I talk about them, I only recently started singling a few out like Mum/Dad as they gave me explicit permission

@66Mustang
Oh I think I’m staying in till later on after dinner time my daughters going to pick me up and take me to my mums. If the rain goes off I think I will go a walk just local.That’s great your sons taking lessons, one off my grandsons he’s 14 goes to go carting he’s joined a club but it’s expensive but he saves up he bought himself a second hand helmet it was £150 he used some of his christmas money for it. But it’s good for them to have an interest in something.

Carting is fun but yeah really expensive!!! It's also good to teach them some basic driving skills but hopefully they don't try to drive too fast on the roads 😅
A friend of the family who is just a little older than me used to go karting as a child and he was in the same karting club as a similar aged little boy named Lewis Hamilton and often used to race with him!!!
Sadly he has disabilities so he didn't reach the same career peak as Lewis 😅

Oh that’s amazing Lewis Hamilton is one off my grandsons idols he has a shelf in his room and has a couple off nice racing cars and a couple off those little figures off Lewis Hamilton on it 😊

Oh he would love that, yes he does seem decent, oh that’s so good he supports his brother 😊

Happy Bank Holiday everyone! It's been typical bank holiday weather here and it lashed all night too. We are going out a run in the car to get an ice cream.
Enjoy your walk @Lou67 and the peace @Beaver79 . @66Mustang my son is obsessed with cars and F1. He is in his early 30s but no license unfortunately. He has epilepsy and can't get a year seizure free. It's such a shame.
Enjoy your afternoon everyone

Enjoy your ice cream 😋
Has your son ever done any kind of driving experience day? You often don't need a license because they are on private ground, like a race track. The epilepsy may mean he is limited when it comes to choice, but if you are happy to pay a premium price there may well be someone willing to take his custom
