Hi and welcome to the forum it’s lovely to have you here, there’s loads off different topics and there’s a games room. I hope you enjoy your day.@Sandy_123

Hi @CGood1 😊
How are you today? The sun’s shining here in Yorkshire but it’s very windy!!

I am ok thank you vrey much. It's cold here but i can see the sun

The sun makes everything better doesn't it? Hopefully it sticks around but I'm not convinced it will!

@Rachel_Scope ooh what part of Yorkshire are you in?? Are you a Yorkshire person or just moved there? 😊

Hi @66Mustang! I'm a proper Yorkshire lass 😄 Currently live in Holmfirth, Last of the Summer Wine country. Are you in Yorkshire too?
0 -
@Rachel_Scope no I'm down south but I have lots of Yorkshire blood and I go there a lot! I love it, especially the Dales 😊

Well my day is not going as planned. My son picked me up went and voted then we went coffee at a garden center. Now having a pub lunch.

That sounds like a nicer day than you had planned though at least @Sandy_123 ! Enjoy your lunch with your son 😊 I've just come back from having lunch and voting

Ooooh that sounds like a varied lunch break
Now for the most important question about your decision but sorry if it's too personal:
What did you have for lunch?
0 -
I had beans. Nice and simple, like me lol

Yes it has been a nice day out this was at the garden center.

I rewarded myself for voting by popping into the local bakers and getting myself a vegan sausage roll and a maple and pecan danish. I actually find their vegan sausage rolls tastier than their meat ones. They use a home-made nut-mushroom mixture that's actually really tasty.

The maple pecan danish is really nice @Jimm_Scope
Good choice

I like lots of vegan foods but I don't understand shops trying to promote them as substitutes? If someone has a desire for meat then just have meat; if the vegan foods are nice, which many are, then why the need to use meat euphemisms? Just say what they are and let them sell themselves on their own merits 🤔
Marketing a product as a substitute is like saying it's second best, which is the opposite of marketing and kind of discredits what may be, in isolation, a perfectly good product
Hmm I sounded all serious there

Nice pictures @Sandy_123

I'm getting more and more into eating more vegan/vegetarian foods as I'm cutting my meat intake down. I've got to say some things I prefer and are better than the meat versions. I'm also a lover of mushrooms and anything mushroom related so love to replace mushrooms in dishes rather than meat.
