I need some help here..
I got the DWP call. It was regarding some money they owe me. They asked me if I lived alone and I said yes.. and if someone looks after me or I looked after someone And I said No. They say they might owe me money about 82 a week. I am very worry. They might have things mixed up. They said is for esa. I am getting very worry . They said threre will be a background check etc .. hopefully there will be someone in a similar situation. He never expecify but this is esa for what I understand. I am very confused. They will send letters etc. hopefully someone will know.. i hope is not mixed up with careers allowance. This is a completely different benefit.. right......hope you can help

Ok. Had a second call.. and they will backdate money etc. they say it will not affect benefitS.. I hope it not affect housing benefits etc.. anyway. Normally good things happen to other people and not to me so I am a bit worry. But Anyway. I hope it will be ok.

That sounds like good news @Schildpad! As it's their mistake, this kind of money is usually not regarded as capital so it shouldn't affect your benefits βΊοΈ
