Morning everyone. Sorry to hear it was a rough night for some. It was really sticky last night wasn't it?
I eventually got to sleep at 4.30, so I'm ready for a nap already. 😆

How do you know it was 4.30 if you was asleep 😁

Some very welcome stormy weather overnight here. Means it's going to be hot in a few days 🌞😎

Morning everyone. Hopefully a bit cooler today finally!
Did anyone get up to anything fun over the weekend?

Spent Saturday recovering from Friday. Sunday was another lazy day. Been out today to collect my prescription, it's warm but very windy.
Off out again tonight at 3.45, no drinking this time (probably).

You need to move up here, mate, and heatwaves will be a distant memory!

My north facing bedroom is nearly always cold and I keep the door open to get some heat from the living room.

Do you have a bungalow @Ranald ? I'm still getting used to mine but very grateful I have it (council). You come in the front door and on left is little kitchen, on right is little shower room, opposite front door is door to living room and inside there (reasonable size facing back garden) is a door to the left which is the bedroom. I'm sure you really needed to know all that 🤣🤣🤣.
I just find it weird that the bedroom is off the living room although I don't know where I expect it to be. I'd like there to be a corridor but there isn't but that's the least of my problems! I'm lucky to have a roof over my head so a corridor is really neither here nor there! It's warmer in here since the roof was replaced in March, I'll be very grateful if that's still noticeable in the winter!

I suppose I live in a cottage, not bungalow. I have neighbours both sides, but only one is adjoined, there is a slabbed path between me and the other side, we share a bin recess you see (I can play the boring beggar game too).
This 1 bedroom house was built in 2015 and I am the first tenant. So many of the original tenants are no longer with us, one has terminal cancer, one dementia, some disabled army veterans, the whole 9 yards in fact.
I have never lived in a modern house before this, the insulation and sound proofing is a huge improvement on past dwellings. Next door adjoined has her telly blaring, but i hear nothing through the wall (Telly is right behind it).
