Hi There, hope everyone is well.  I am blind, and want to be able to use my powerchair with a white cane.  However, my bf informs me that if I were to jaccidentally bump into someone's car for example, that person could sue me, even if I was to get insurance and tell them of my disability the chances are that they would not insure me.  If I diIf i didn't tell them about my disability and something happens they would declare the policy null and void because I should have told them about my disability.  As stated, I am completely blblind but also have problems walking.  Surely I should also have some rights under the law?

    Hi @Frannels, welcome to the community! I hope you're having a good day today :)

    I am not sure on your question, as I am not a lawyer and do not know the law! I know however, that insurers can declare policies void if you don't tell them of certain conditions. So it is always best to tell them when taking the policy.

    I'll look into more information for you about this. See what I can come up with. If you have any other questions or want to know anything about our community here let me know :)

    Good afternoon @Frannels. I'm sorry no one was able to share their experience of this with you. Unfortunately as @Jimm_Scope mentioned, we aren't able to give legal advice. I hope you've managed to work out a solution that works for you.

    @Frannels

    How would you even be able to steer your chair around obstacles if you are blind ?

    Sorry - but maybe I am missing something ?
