Hi, I'm in the process of asking my Dr for a letter to see if I can get my £4000 pension pot early due to ill health.

Would this in anyway affect my universal credit payment and reduce my income long term.

Any advice is appreciated

A lump sum will be treated as capital so unless this brings your total capital to more than £6,000 it will not affect your UC.

If you withdraw a weekly income then it will reduce your UC £1 for £1.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
