    @Agnia
    Good morning the best place to start is to put in for a OT to come out and asses you and your needs.
    But this has been suggested over and over.
    Your English is very good and you can be completely understood here.
    So why not do as everyone has suggested.
    Nothing will ever change unless you reach out to the right people that can actually help.

    Take care ❤️

    You won’t be placed into a care home and you’ve been advised this so many times in the past.

    Why is it so difficult to fill out the forms for social housing? You spend time here and your English is very good and you understand everything we say to you.

    Nothing has changed in all the time you’ve been posting. Agnia, you really have to start to help yourself because that help will not come to you if you don’t start the process.

    If that was a family member that doesn’t live in the UK then how can they possibly know that?

    We’ve been through all this before, you won’t be placed into a care home.

    I know you’re not coping but you’re not helping yourself by not reaching out for help. There’s only so much help we can give here.

    Believe me when I say to get a place in a care home when you are not self funding is extremely difficult.
    The local authority will try anything and everything to avoid paying.
    I have a friend whose relative has dementia. It took 3 years to get the person into a care home. Many professionals were involved trying to get that admission as well. It only happened because the person went into hospital and staff refused discharge home as unsafe.

    If you are not coping with daily tasks then you need to reach out to those who have the power to help.
    Perhaps getting that help with daily tasks will improve your mental health, to the point you feel able to apply for social housing and take that first step to improving your living situation.

    @Agnia
    Hi if you had reached out for a Needs Assessment a year ago when you were advised many times to do so.
    You could possibly be somewhere new that suits you, but you would at least have things moving.
    But sadly that isn’t going to happen unless you do it.

    I needed help last year regarding a bath seat and some other things.
    I phoned Social Services and got an appointment for an OT to come out. She came about a week later and got a lot off things sorted for me.
    It was so easy to do. Just as easy as posting on here.

    I wish you all the best and really hope you ask the right people for help.

    ❤️

    I think everyone is right @Agnia. No one will put you in a care home just like that. They will only come and assess your needs. They may be able to help you find more suitable housing and / or put more support in place so that you are better cared for and feel safer. They will always focus first on keeping you as independent as possible, putting in aids and helping you get more accessible housing and home help visits. A care home is a very expensive option which they will not go for first. Perhaps they will talk to you about multiple options, like living independently in a more accessible property, or doing that but with some support coming in to help you out. Or maybe they will show you some options about supported living environments where you may have neighbours who also have support needs and the staff can be around to assist you all, or maybe sharing a house with staff there all the time to help out. They would listen to what you want as well as looking at what your needs are. You won’t be forced in to anything. Social workers are usually very friendly when they come to visit and do want to help. Even if there was a discussion about your care needs being so high they warrant residential care, that doesn’t mean you will necessarily be forced to take it. They will look at options first to keep you in your own home with more support. Also bear in mind that not all care homes are bad anyway. If you have extremely high care needs and did get suggested that it’s still worth keeping an open mind. My care home is nice. There are only seven of us living here and we do lots of fun things. The staff even support me to go out and have a job. I have a big bedroom and my own bathroom. It’s a clean home, the staff treat us like family and no matter what time of the day or night there are always staff awake and able to help us.
