I received a letter dated the 16th with a telephone assessment booked, I then received another letter dated 19th to say the telephone assessment has been cancelled “we no longer need you to have this appointment” and to ask in my online uc journal for information. Has this happened to anyone else?

I can only guess what the reason it but it could be either they've cancelled it and will make another appointment. Or they have enough of information to complete a paper based assessment. You can ring the number in the letter and ask them, they should be able to give you more information, rather than ask on your journal.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @soph1lou, welcome to the community.

It's difficult to say why this might have happened, but I think Poppy's advice is a good idea. Hopefully if you give them a ring they can clear things up for you :)

Thank you so much for your reply! I had a letter in my journal today to say I’ve been awarded lwrca. The letter is very vague though, I first made them aware of my health on the 6th October, my assessment period is from 27th-26th, from what I’ve gathered I’m not entitled to any back pay but should I expect the extra payment on my upcoming payment date?

Did you also provide a fit note within 7 days of reporting your health condition? if so and there were no gaps in your fit notes then your waiting period will be Oct/Nov, Nov/Dec, Dec/Jan... LCWRA starts from assessment period 27th Jan to 26th Feb and first payment will be 3rd March.
