I initially  applied for PIP on 14/09/2021 and was told I was not eligible. Eventually after takimg my assessement to an independent tribunal i was awarded PIP until 13/09/2024. This morning I received a PIP review form in the post which I am course happy to complete and update with any relevant information. My questions are and I hope somebody may be able to help me -

1. Should I send a copy of the decision I received for the independent tribunal? Will this help as evidence?
2. If PIP decide I'm no longer eligible to receive PIP will I continue to receive payment up until the 14/09/24 or will this just stop?

My condition has worsened and can't get any better but I just have a feeling PIP/DWP are going to make this review process as hard as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Toby

1/ Yes, you can send the decision from the Tribunal for your review.

2/ Any new decision will overrule your current award, which means if a decision is made before your award is due to end and you're refused, it will stop. However, there are exceptionally long delays with reviews so you could be waiting a considerable length of time for a decision.

Make sure you treat it as a new claim as give as much relevant information as possible. You should not write no change and nothing else.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thanks for your reply. Would I be correct in thinking then that if my review is not completed before my current award ends my payments will still stop at the end of my current award?

At the moment because of the delays with review decisions DWP are extending awards so payments continue until a decision is made. However, when awarded by a Tribunal DWP don't always extend an award. We've had members here that have had their award extended and some that haven't.
