LCWRA Backdate?

Hi I’m just rather confused. I applied for LCWRA have had the assessment and have been accepted for it. I have been told that I will be backdated but only to 2023. But my continuous sick notes with no break began in 2021. I’m just confused as to how they are only doing it from 2023 when it should be 2021 surely. Am I correct in thinking this? And how do I go about getting this changed?

    Was this the first work capability assessment you’ve had? 

    What date exactly did you report your health condition and provide your first fit note? 

    Please check back on your journal. I need the date you reported it and not the date on the fit note itself. 

    What date do you usually receive your money each month? 

    What reason have they given for not awarding from an earlier date?
