Hi, a little nervous coming on here and just introducing myself. I’m older than 40 but younger than 50 lol and these past 4 yrs my life has been changing. Born with spina bifida, allergies, crohns, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis and more. June last year my spinal problems became much worse and I now need to use a wheelchair. I have been on long term sick leave and need to come to terms that I won’t be able to return and will need to rely on benefits for a while. Which scares me as I’ve never done it before.
Any advice would be gratefully welcomed

Hello @debeliz! Welcome to the community! No need to be nervous, we've got some lovely members and I'm sure you'll feel welcome in no time. Take your time to have a little look around and join in wherever you feel comfortable.
When it comes to benefits, many people find benefits calculators a good place to start to see what they're entitled to. It can be really daunting at first so it's understandable that you're feeling worried about it but there's lots of support available. Our members have all been through similar experiences so they're a knowledgeable bunch should you have any questions about anything
Is there anything in particular you need advice about?
