    Does any one have any tips for coping with panick attacks ? Because my community team won’t prescribe me any thing for them they say I’m on enough medication and I have to learn to cope with them . My illness holds me back and affects me day to day . I’m excited to get a carer I feel this would help me a lot x

    Hi @cupcake88 - try this diaphragmatic breathing exercise which helps reduce stress & is good to practice so you get the hang of it beforehand. I use it daily, & it helped me when I had panic attacks a few years ago, x

    Hey @cupcake88 sorry to hear the panic attacks are proving to be a bit much. As Chiarieds has said, breathing is a great way of keeping them at bay.  As are grounding techniques, I use them a lot for my PTSD and anxiety.

    I look around me and name out loud whilst breathing deeply;
    4 red things,
    2 blue things
    3 yellow things
    1 green thing.

    This really helps me, it may not work for everyone, but it's definitely worth a go :)
