Hi. I sent of my PIP review form and supporting evidence in September 2023 and DWP received on 13th September 2023. So it's been 6 months. Are reviews still taking this long in all areas? Thought it would have been done by now

Thanks

Hi @lewis82, Unfortunately it can really vary from area to area. You could try ringing the PIP enquiries line to see if they can clarify things for you. They're not always in the know, but it might be worth a try :)

    The number is: 0800 121 4433

Fingers crossed it's not too much more of a wait!

HI. I have my phone assessment on Thursday next week. It's a review and this my 3rd review but always been paperpased assessments and although I treat it is a new claim with examples of recent difficulties effecting my daily living I'm still have phone assessment but I've asked for it to be recorded and have copies of all evidence I sent so fingers crossed. Any idea of how long It takes to get a decision after assessment? Just seems to vary from reading on here. Thanks

Once the assessment report is returned timescales are up to 12 weeks.

So I had my phone assessment on the 29th August and got text this morning to say decision on review and been made. I called DWP and was read out the award letter. Awarded until August 2027. I just wanted to say after the horror stories you read online my assessor was a nurse and was lovely and actually listened to me. I think the lesson I learnt was how important it is to give those examples of how life effects you on the review forms in detail and to the point. I gave those examples during the assessment and I've been lucky the assessor took everything down. I've got the award I wanted. I want to say big thank you to the community especially Poppy who gives fantastic advice.

Thanks for sharing your experience @lewis82 It's always nice to hear when things go well for people, and I'm glad you had a positive experience of the assessment too 😊
