They have been known to send texts on weekends because texts are usually automatically generated. Was it someone from the call centre you spoke to or someone else?

jamie8093

Yes some one from the call centre

This does concern me somewhat. I think it’s wrong for them to have said that because nothing is final until that decision is made.

If a decision had been made they would know but won’t be able to see it until the system updated, which can take up to 24 hours. They could only tell you that a letter has been sent out.

Of course I hope that you will be awarded but call centres often tell you what they want to hear.

I hope it won’t be too much longer for you because I know how much anxiety it causes with all the waiting.

Tell you what you want to hear ? Can they do that ? Surely not ?

Of course they can, they are a call centre. How can they tell you that you will be getting an award if a decision hasn't been made? No one can predict what that decision will be.

jamie8093

Well i didn't think they be allowed to do that , not very professional of them , and surely they get done for sending false hope no ?

poppy123456

They are not DWP staff, they are call centre staff. No, they can't "get done" for giving false hope because it will be your word against their's.

Once the decision is made you will be contacted. I know it's difficult but please try to focus on something else because ringing them for updates, doesn't really help.

jamie8093

No no , i rang back because i was checking if the GP report had got back to them , because they sent the first request to the wrong surgery , i wasn't calling about a decision , the bloke just told me that when he was checking the notes

jamie8093
