I said the statement was confusing and that it bothered me but I don't think I've pried into anything. Bothered enough to comment.

Nice thought ilovepink but the fortunes of thousands of us won't improve and learning to budget is the only solution. I feel lucky to have food, shelter and internet access because I know many don't and won't as a result of welfare reforms.

If you're scared why take the risk for a few more quid? How could dealing with JCP be easier than not dealing with JCP?

We all have to use our benefits for food and bills is all I've said. Goodnight.

Risk? what risk would that be exactly? I wouldn't call almost £200/month a 'few more quid' as you put it and that's before the increase next month.

As ilovepink will also be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of their claim they won't have to deal with the job centre after their first appointment (which can be by telephone) because they will have no work commitments.

I'm not sure exactly what your issue is here, if someone is entitled to benefits then they should claim what they are entitled to. There's clearly entitlement to UC based on information given.
