A local food bank will be able to help with food as well as electric. There's some information here also. https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/food-no-money-food-banks/?_ga=2.123164931.945686977.1706126292-263050236.1706126291
Are you claiming benefits? If so are you claiming everything you're entitled to?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thanks I'll click on the link.
I'm not sure if I'm claiming all I'm entitled to, I was going to check with the DSS .
Once again, thank you for your advice 😌😌 -
DSS? Does you mean DWP? if so then I wouldn't advise you to ask them for any benefits advice. DWP administer benefits but they are not benefits advisors.
You can use a benefits calculator and put your details into there or speak to an advice agency for a full benefits check. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculatorI would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Heya @Vikki48 and welcome to the community. I hope you're doing ok today?
As Poppy has said, it's worth getting in touch with our energy support team, they might be of some use for you. And it's always worth checking the benefits calculator just in case.
Do you have any support around you that might be able to help? Any friends of family?Albus (he/him)

Hi it's nice to hear from you 🐱
I've no one to ask for help but I've applied for a crisis loan to the council though.
It's nice to think someone else cares -
I'm sorry to hear that @Vikki48, we're all here for support if you need us. Though I think having a look at the benefits calculator Poppy linked to would be a great first step.
Also have you looked at The Trussell Trust? They may have a food bank local to you that could be of use?Albus (he/him)
