My partner has been found with lcwra and first payment will be in june.
This is PIP application.0 -
Ah ok, sorry I got confused because your thread started with migration to UC. Decisions for PIP from the date you rang to start the claim can be up to about 6 months, sometimes longer. Once the report is returned a decision can take anything up to about 12 weeks.0

WCA and PIP assessments were 2 days apart, got lcwra within days. Still havent received report for PIP as they doin internal checks. Frustrating... We applied for PIP in Jan.0

Its been 4 weeks now the pip audit, can you put in formal complaint. Surely it shouldnt be taking then tgis long to review considering they do 100s of reports per week.
0 -
There's nothing to complain about because audits take as long as they take and there's no timescales.
0 -
Do you think its reasonable for them to take this long?
So even if it takes 12 weeks we can do nothing?
This doesnt feel right. Dwp will have the report for another 9 weeks ontop of this.

What doesn't feel right? Audits happen all the time and reports are chosen at random. There's nothing anyone can do when a report is in an audit, regardless of how long it takes, you just need to have some patience.
Would you prefer the correct decision to be made? or would you prefer the process to be rushed and errors be made? Once the report is returned then a decision can take up to 12 weeks.
I do understand how stressful it is as I've had reports in audit myself but there's nothing you can do. Please try to focus on something else while you wait.

Well well well, we got a txt on bank holiday morning saying the report is with dwp and decision can take upto 8 weeks.
0 -
Texts are automatically generated, which is why they are sent on bank holidays. Those 8 weeks can be up to 12.

Just received copy of the report, how often will dwp follow the recommendations?
When we requested report the dwp adviser claimed the points maybe altered.
At present we believe the report is fair.

Did you add up any recommended points? Mostly they go with it but it has been known for them to go against it but it's rare.

Yes i did..
Just wait for decision.

Hi quick question regarding carers element in UC, in feb when we migrated to UC from working tax credit i told them i am full time carer for my wife and she is currently applying for PIP. Does the carers element be backdated from then or do i have to apply for it once we finally get PIP decision?
0 -
You will need to report a change of circumstances, then click caring for someone and report it that way.

I dont have any work comitments on my UC as im a full time carer, however i do work self employed but they classed me as not gainfully employed. When we applied for UC i told them i care for my wife full time, they told us to inform when you get her PIP decision.
So will i not get backpayment of UC carer element from feb?
0 -
It will be paid from the assessment period in which her PIP is paid from, providing the PIP includes daily living part. You must report the changes as I advised.

We applied for pip in january 24 and applied for UC in feb 24, will it begin from february or whenever the pip decision will be made?
Thanks

It depends on the dates. What dates do your UC assessment periods cover and what date exactly did the PIP claim start?
0 -
6th - 5th of the month UC assesment period.
Pip application began on 15th jan.

From 6th Jan to 5th Feb, first payment 12th Feb. Money owed is always paid as a separate payment.
