Hi iv been handed a section21 that runs till the 31st may. My council have been helpful they have put me up from band 5 to band 4 (a little better) the thing is there is only upper floor flats in my availability from them.. I need ground floor or better a bungalow. Iv been going through ruling out tests now my DR is sending me to a rheumatologist for fibromyalgia. I also have osteoarthritis in both knees Which give way.. my mental health isn't good I'm doing CBT at the moment to help me. My anxiety is extra high i dont go out the house, my garden is my life line. Iv tried to get medical points to get a bungalow but can't because apparently it can't be combined with section 21 so wouldn't make a difference to banding. Any advice would be greatfully received as I know a bungalow would be beneficial to my mental health but I'm only 53 so not old enough to qualify.

Firstly, a S21 is not an eviction notice because a landlord can't evict you, only a court can. First thing you need to do is check the S21 is valid, you can do that here. (assuming you live in England). https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/housing/renting-privately/during-your-tenancy/if-you-get-a-section-21-notice/
You is you do not have to move out by that date and if you do this then you could be treated as making yourself intentionally homeless, which could mean your local Authority may refuse to help you.
Have you referred yourself for a needs assessment from your Local Authority? If not you can do that here. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/
Although you've received the S21 if your current home is not suitable for you because of your health conditions then an OT could recommend a house move based on your health conditions. You can then send that report to your LA.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
