Hi, my first venture into this, I am my husband’s carer after a stroke which is mostly ok but now and again after his comments about don’t book a break away as he won’t be around and he’s sick of being ill and just wants to die makes it difficult as I don’t want to burden family with this

Hi @fio76 welcome to the forum
It might be worth taking your husband to see his gp about his mood. Stroke can effect people in so many ways, his mood could be low coping with any limitations it may of effected him.
It can be hard too for family. But your doing a grand job.
There are plenty of us to natter to here, it's a very supportive forum. -
Hello @fio76, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you and your husband are struggling after his stroke. As Sandy mentioned, it does sound like it might be a good idea to speak to the GP about his mood, it's not an easy thing to go through at all and can really take it's toll mentally.
I hope the community can be a source of friendship and support, there's always someone about to listen if you need to talk things through. Coffee lounge can be a good bet if you just need some distraction, but there's lots of categories for all sorts of things. Let us know if you have any questionsRosie (she/her)
