This is an update on my previous post ! Sorry mods …
Basically I received 2 letters from environment enforcement saying I’d been accused of fly tipping. They’ve sent photo evidence of rubbish with my name and address, however .. I sometimes get post sent to my abbreviated name that my friends/ eBay  know me as and sometimes it will get sent to my full name. I only realised this morning there was 2 different reference numbers (one for each letter) and I’m not sure what to do, basically one investigation is time stamped at 11pm and another at 11.10pm, both on the same date. Is it worth me emailing and letting them know of my error. I’m assuming they must have thought I’m 2 different people. I feel so stupid !!
Has anyone else had this before ?

It's possible that they might have thought there were two different people involved due to the different reference numbers and time stamps on the letters you received.

Regardless of the reason for the different reference numbers, it's important to respond to both letters separately. In your response to the second letter, you can explain that you had already sent a response to the first letter before realising that the reference numbers were different. This way, you can ensure that your response is complete and addresses all of the concerns raised in both letters.
