Do pip send my back pay to debt management before I get anything and does anyone know how long it takes to be paid to me

    Yes, if you owe them money they can take that from the money they owe you.

    I see from a recent thread that this was a Tribunal decision. It can take up to 8 weeks for your award to be put into payment and about the same time to receive what is owed.

    Ok they say there have it all up and running by next Friday for me I was just wondering do they send everything to debt management as I only owe 300 pound but owed over 11 grand in back pay do I have to wait till debt management send me the balance

    They may yes but can’t tell you for sure whether they will for definite. If it was me then I would just pay that debt off anyway and then it will be something you can forget about.

    I had a similar issue, half of my award was sent to debt management. When I called them they advised of the amount but said they can release some but not all they offered this amount and said they would pass only this to be paid to me within 5-10 days. It may be worth ringing back and asking for some off it.
