I was sent a form for LCWRA, I had help filling in the form. My first fit note was dated 10/11/23 for 3 months, I then had another fit not for another 3 months. Had my WCA 13/04/2024. I have recently been awarded LCRWA I was just wondering if there was any back pay due

What date do you usually receive your money each month?
Based on the information you gave your first payment will be either March or April.0 -
Hello Poppy, I have lived in the shadows of the scope forum, reading page after page of suggestions and advice you've given people so may I just say thank you! Your face should appear under the definition of selfless in the dictionary.

Can't understand your post ? You state that your Work Capacity Assessment, isn't due for another 9 days (13.04.24), though also state that you've "had it" ? But also state you've been awarded LCWRA ? And are you actually signed off "sick" at the moment, your initial 3pcm "fit" note concluding on 25.01.24. but your 2nd fit note, not actually being for a full 3pcm period ? When does your 2nd "sick" period end ? And/or, should your "sickness" period continue, indefinitely ?
If your claim for LCWRA was submitted on the basis of claiming from the 10.11.23. and you've been awarded LCWRA, I'd presume that you'll have a LCWRA payment due, backdated to 10.11.23. until and/or unless, your "sickness" period has/will end.
I'd check to ensure that your claim for LCWRA, was actually submitted on the basis that you've claimed from 10.11.23. and not a few weeks later, due to late submission of the claim. If your period of "sickness" has concluded, your claim would have to end, but I would ensure that if your period of "sickness" is going to be indefinite and/or ongoing, it's worth ensuring that the DWP will be clear on this point0 -

Theres a full 3 month assessment period for LCWRA, so you don't get it backdated to the first time you recorded it, only 3 months after this period. So as Poppy stated the first payment for LCWRA will be March/April not November.

If it was 10th then your waiting period will be Nov/Dec, Dec/Jan, Jan/Feb... LCWRA starts from assessment period 11th Feb to 10th March and first payment will be 17th March.0 -

Thanks. That means your first payment will be 17th April so no LCWRA element is owed. This is assuming you reported your health condition on the same date.
Please make sure you check your next statement to make sure it's included.0
