@Craig77x Buckfastleigh is a lovely part of the country.
I used to visit the Abbey when I lived in Exeter.

My sister went to Falmouth Uni, it's a lovely part of the country.

Just a quick reminder though to be careful with your personal information! Talking about what town you live in is fine of course, but please be careful with any personally identifiable information :)

the West country is very beautiful but too many people view it through rose tinted specs because of the many tv documentaries and certain drama's filmed there.
In reality it is rife with second homes that have driven locals out and created ghost towns in the winter and destroyed local communities.
Its rife with poverty and low wages.
Its not really the paradise many who holiday there seem to think it is when you  live there and are trying to go about your daily life during tourist season because it becomes so overwhelming with traffic, empty supermarket shelves etc.
The winter months can be harsh with a lot of the shops, cafe's and restuarants shut down for the season and of course the bad weather living by the sea

Hi, I am new here (re-starting actually, from ages ago) and when you said Southwest, I thought yes, but I am only from Cheltenham, so hardly qualify with you true end of the world folk! Now I live in Wales, so all change. Stuff you wouldn't know in the Southwest: How much it rains in South West Wales. It often starts late afternoon, rains until nightfall, rains all night and is still raining when I wake-up. I Cheltenham, we only got that sort of rain in Race-week!
Anyway, I came here to agree with a comment/ conversation about the craziness of Royal Mail.My own thoughts are that we have been defrauded for years, buying a first class stamp to take a letter the post box only to find they will not collect it before tomorrow, there is no first class post at all, your letter cannot possibly get there tomorrow!
