I had a knee replacement in 2022 due to significant kneecap arthritis I’ve really struggled since with lack of mobility & movement
now finally I know the pain is from arthrofibrosis and have pain in hips & back due to gait change
like a flamingo
due to only 70d flex & extension
My patella has dropped so it’s pretty painful and constant
getting up from a chair /toilet
can’t do elevation or decline in camber any sort ..
on morphine and anatripline
need some help as I’ve not been able to focus on work for two months now & I don’t get sick pay im
self employed..
would like help doing form

@melanie75 you could try CAB or a local welfare rights organisation.
you will get some great advice from the more experienced members of this community too.

There's a guide here.https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-claim/fill-in-form-pip/
We can't physically help with the form itself but we can advise on the best way to fill it in. You should include as much relevant information as possible, without telling your life story.
Adding a couple of detailed real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half and A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies to you.
Do also remember that PIP is not about your ability to work. Neither is it about a diagnosis. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on how your conditions affect you in relation to the PIP descriptors.
This guide will also help you have a little more understanding of the descriptors and why they mean. Worth reading before starting the form.https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria
Alternatively you can contact an advice agency near you but they are very often very busy so whether you can get an appointment is another thing. This link will help you find an advice agency local to you.welfare-benefits1 -
Heya @melanie75 and welcome to the community.
I can see our regulars have already answered your query, but I just wanted to stop in and say hi.
Just to let you know, I've moved your post over to the PIP category, so more people will be able to see it. I hope that's ok.1 -
Thankyou everyone0
