If your earnings are more than 16xNMW/week you will not be able to be referred for a work capability assessment unless you're claiming a disability benefit such as PIP/ADP or DLA.0

I can't actually believe what I just read in that link. It advises you to talk about your bad days, that's not what anyone should do at all, for any assessment, whether it's the WCA or PIP. What's important is the majority of the time. If someone concentrated on their bad days and during the assessment it was one of their better days the assessor is going to think that things may not be as bad as they may them out to be.Albus_Scope said:
It also doesn't mention the earnings limit if someone isn't claiming a disability benefit.
Also it mentions home assessments. These haven't taken place for 4 years. As I'm sure you're aware that most assessments are by telephone, some are face to face at an assessment centre or video call.1 -
Yet another example, unfortunately of Scope's info pages being either wrong, or putting the emphasis in the wrong place. Why have a ****-heading saying 'Talk about your bad days,' when if your condition does indeed fluctuate it should be about all of your days/how you are the majority of the time?I sometimes shudder when I see some of the advice on Scope's main website; it's time it was looked into & updated! Saying there's more info here, when it's not all together correct, is troubling.1

Thanks for the input @chiarieds and Poppy! I've made some notes and will pass them on to the powers that be. Hopefully we can get it all updated soon.2
