My PIP decision timeline

Hi all, just want to share my timeline in case it's useful to anyone else
Feb 19th applied for PIP
March 25th telephone assessment
March 28th received text from DWP confirming they have my report
April 12th received text saying no decision made
April 15th text saying I've been awarded PIP
April 18th will be paid backdated money and then payment every 4 weeks on the Friday
So relieved as heard all the horror stories but 8 weeks exactly from application to decision (Easter bank holidays inc) is very quick, good luck to anyone else going through the process

You would feel like your case has some kind of issue, wouldn't you? But the truth would be you would have been within limits if you considered all timelines for each stage.
So, how does it help when one gets a quick decision and comes here to show off?
Never understood that act really. It helps nobody really, every area and period is totally different, and we should not forget the weight the history of the applicant etc.

I was always reading timelines while I was waiting for my decision, yes I found it helpful. Who says it's showing off, that's a weird way to look at it, says more about you really3

The user has kindly shared details in case it helps others which is what this site is all about supporting others.
It's unfair to target users and you should stop because you are scaring people with your silly stories and opinions and scope should realise you are scaring new users away.
You have no right to judge people who are trying to help others especially when you do nothing to help.
If you don't have anything nice to say just say nothing.
Give it a rest
Ps if you can't work out why the user bothered to post the timeline here's a little clue

First of all, thank you @curiouskitten for your timeline. We really do appreciate timeline posts We know many people do happen to find them very useful and calming. This might not be true for everyone, but we know it does help many and so encourage them whenever possible!
This next part is not addressed to you curiouskitten, so don't worry about it
It's okay to disagree with each other, but please do not try to discourage people from posting their own experiences and please do not ever insult people because of what they have posted. If you feel it has broken our Community house rules then please press or click on the flag button at the bottom left of their post and selection "report". This send it to the admin team who can then investigate it and act accordingly. Responding and escalating the situation can often make things worse for people who just wanted to give their experience or share their views, as they now have a fight they never asked for going on in their discussion. Of course, feel free to post in support of someone, but do not make that post of support an attack on someone else. Again, if you feel a post has broken the rules, then please report it.3 -
@Jimm_Scope
Thank you, I was often looking for timelines while I was waiting, those 8 weeks felt like forever but it helped reading other stories and feeling happy for them. I'm sorry if it upsets people2 -

@realt56. Thank you. I'd read the same post every other day and search for others during my wait, I just found it helpful and reassuring2

I'm still around now, I might be able to help others or continue to learn new facts myself 😊1 -
