Pip back dated

Hi my hubby had a pip assessment on the 3rd April recieved a txt on Friday 12 April saying decision had been made .rung pip auto service next payment has gone up looks like been awarded high motability was on standard. How long will he wait for back pay if he is getting any pip review form sent in June 2023 .thankyou

heya @dawn73 congratulations to your hubby on the award! That must be a relief?  If you're owed backpay, it can sometimes take several weeks and will appear in your bank account separately from your usual PIP payments.
 I would however wait until you receive the letter with the full breakdown, sometimes the PIP auto line can be a bit glitchy.

If this was a review started by DWP then they don't always backdate it to an earlier date. It's a decision makers discretion whether they backdate it or not. Some do and others don't.

If it was changes that your partner reported then it will be from the date they rang to report the changes. 

Do also be aware that the automated payment line doesn't always give correct information.
