Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

As ever, please make sure that your comments remain respectful of other people's opinions and keep to our online community house rules.

More information is needed to be able to advise you. Have you been through the Mandatory Reconsideration or Tribunal process at all?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

It's not unusual for the MR decision not to change as mostly they don't. You can proceed to Tribunal as your next stage.

Please also remember that entitlement to PIP isn't based on any diagnosis or your ability to work. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on how your conditions affect you.

You can submit the appeal online here. submit-appeal please make sure you choose to either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing as either of those will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour.

I'd also advise you to have a read of this, it may give you a little more understanding of the descriptors.https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria

There's a 70% success rate if you request one of the 3 I mentioned above. Entitlement is also not about financial help to be able to give up work as that won't qualify you.
