can you help, my husband has his care for by our local authority since his was 56, he will now draw his statement pension the end of june as now 66 Can they make him take his private pension which is currently still trying to grow more.

Yes, as he’s now reached state pension age it’s assumed that he will also use his private pension and take and income from it. If he doesn’t then they will assume he has and still take that into consideration.0

Yes, it’s called notional income. If you’re claiming means tested benefits then it
also applies to those.0 -
