Hi there wanted advice , daughter was on dla as she has autism and severe anxiety don’t leave the house , I’m her carer full time , she now has to be on pip as 16 but what I wanted to know is do I put her pip money in a bank account as she does not know about money or no value , don’t leave the house , can’t do your normal things like cook etc I do everything for her , her dla was getting us through living each day food etc , so can I use some of her pip to buy food her things she needs ?

So using it for food also for us ? It’s just the 2 of us and living atm is so exspensive bills food etc0

As her appointee you are expected to use the money in her best interests. I’m my daughter’s appointee and her PIP is paid into my bank. I take her share of the bills and give her the rest. We are the only 2 living in our house.1
