Sorry to ask again but I am so worried about this. With the mental health changes would autism be affected.
Sunak wants to get rid of payments and offer talking therapy.  But autism you don't get better from. I can't manage without my monthly payments and I don't get the full amount of £700 something, much less.
I have physical conditions as well.
This is making me so stressed and ill

I totally understand how worried some people are by this but at the moment nothing has changed and everything remains as it is.

Don’t forget there’s also an election this year so the changes may not even happen.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @Andi66, I can understand why you might feel anxious about these proposed changes and you're not alone in feeling that way. It's much easier said than done, but try not to worry about it at this stage. It might be worth taking a break from reading news and social media posts about this subject if it's really stressing you out. Looking after your wellbeing is so important and it's difficult not to be affected by it all when worrying stuff like this comes out.

Unfortunately, we don't know much about the finer details yet and it could all change with the general election. That said, I think it's unlikely Autism would be treated in the same way as mental illness as Autism is not a mental illness.

I know everything seems uncertain at the moment, but we'll be here to help support everyone through whatever happens next. Take it easy and look after yourself :)
