It depends what band 2 means for you in your area. It’s could be a considerable waiting time. All local Authorities are different, with different rules for social housing but the shortages of properties across the country often means long waiting times.
I was placed into urgent medical priority last August and was offered a house in December. I picked the keys up shortly after that and moved in mid Jan. Mine was extremely quick but not everyone is that lucky.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
I'm band 2 high priority.
But 1 is the highest for vulnerable.
With band 5 been the lowest.. -
I hope I get somewhere within 6 months

I was in a high priority group and I had to wait 3 years to get a place.
It depends on the amount of people on the list and the availabilty of the type of accomodation you require.

If there's a bidding system in place then you need to make sure you bid, otherwise there's no chance of a property. Make sure that you only bid on areas that you would like to live because if they do offer a property in the future and you refuse it could affect future bids.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
