Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

I am male 77, disabled long-term with spinal injuries.  I was in the British Army for 12 years and loved the life.  I used to be proud of my appearance and kept clean and wore nice clothes.  Now, I don't worry about what I wear and my bungalow is not kept clean as I do not have the willpower or energy to do this.  I am currently suffering from severe nausea for 5 days now and just trying to eat and drink herb tea etc.  I was an alcoholic but stopped drinking altogether 13 years ago.  I have a little Shen Tzu dog Daisy who is 3.  She has not had a walk this week due to me being ill.

Hi @denking and welcome to the community. :)

I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling so sick recently and you've been lacking willpower. Are you in contact with your GP? I really think it would be worth calling them asap. Do you receive any support from local authorities at all?
