Claiming DLA for a foster child

Hello. Please can anyone help me? I was claiming DLA only, for a foster child who was in my care. This child temporarily left my care from septemeber to March. I didn't notify the change straight away because the plan originally was for the child to come back to my care. I did however, send all of the money to the temporary carer. Is this an offence. Will I get in to trouble? I never thought anything of it before but now I am extremely worried 😟
