Hello all,
I just received a text saying daughter has been awarded dla
I applied on the phone on 29/01/24
Scan date was 02/02/24
Received text today 29/04/24
So 13 weeks
Just wondering how long people waited for the backpay and when was their payday..was it on a Tuesday or Wednesday?
Thanks in advance

Once payment is made it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank. Payment days are different for everyone and can be any day between Mon and Fri. You will always be paid on the same day each time but the date will change each month because it's paid every 4 weeks, not monthly.
When you receive the decision letter it will tell you what day of the week to expect to be paid.1 -
Thank you poppy for your response!
You have been most helpful!
So a little update to help others...
I called dla yesterday (day after the award)
They said as soon as they awarded dla they worked out how much was owed and have sent it to me which I should receive by Tuesday (3-5 working days) which will be the day dla is paid each month like poppy said.
So backpay was sorted preety quick in my case
Took about 14 works in total to apply get a decision and backpay.
Still waiting on letter in post.
