Hi I'm nick I've recently been awarded lcwra on my universal credit assessment. I've been on sick notes since 20th January and had my assessment in March. I get paid on the 10th every month and am really confused as to when I will receive the additional money. I've just got my statement from 3rd of April to 3rd of may and still 368 so no increase at all. If anyone can help me work out when I should receive the payments, I would appreciate it. Thanks Nick

Heya @nicky54 and welcome to the community and congratulations on your LCWRA award.
I'm not the expert on LCWRA I'm afraid, but I believe you'll start getting the LCWRA payments from the 4th month. Hopefully one of the regulars will be a long shortly to give you a definite answer.1 -
Your waiting period will be Feb/March, March/April, April/May.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 4th May to 3rd June and first payment will be 10th June. No LCWRA element is owed.
If you or a partner were receiving earnings since you provided your first fit note and you didn't have the work allowance then you'll be owed some money from that.1 -
Thanks Poppy, so hopefully I should get it on my June payment and probably the same with the 6%plus pay rise aswell. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question I appreciate your help as I am useless when it comes to anything with benefits (universal credit especially ) thanks.0

Yes it will be June and the same for the increase.1

Hi ive just looked at your post how long was it to get your decision ... it was pretty quick1
-
It took about 2 months from my first sick note until I got my assessment, probably would have been quicker as I was late with my form. As soon as they got the form telephone assessment few weeks later 25 April. Still no money though. Next month.🤞🤞0

Sorry i mean you had assesment on 25th april what date did you get the decision ... was it weeks after or months1
-
Yes your right.🙈 I got the dates wrong, it was 27/3 for the assessment and I got the decision on 16/4. So just under 3 weeks for the decision after the assessment. Sorry I'm a bit fuzzy and never the best remembering dates. But even still less than 3weeks for the decision seems okay.👍0

Poppy yes I got the decision on the 16th April it was the assessment date I got mixed up with that was the 27th May. It's still the same as far as payments are concerned my first sick note was January 20th so should get payment on 10th June.🤞🤞0

Poppy 27th March on the assessment I meant.🙈 as you can see I am not the clearest when it comes to keeping up with dates and directions and stuff but yes 20th January sick note, assessment 27 March and decision 16th April. 🥴🐵0

Will it be backdated meaning she will get 3 months of £416.19?0
-
Ok. Unfortunately I misunderstood. I thought the waiting period is added to the lcwra on the 4 th month. Meaning £416.19 x 3 .0
