Hi I’m new to this just needing a little help I applied for pip November 2023 I’ve received my phone call due to the trauma I’m suffering after a loss of a child I find it hard to speak without a breakdown as the questions asked are related back to this trauma , so half through the call we had to stop as the health professional said it was in my best interest of my health to reappoint this call it’s now booked for tomorrow we’re they say I need someone to be there to support me but I have to start this process again I’m really anxious about if this is right for me even though my family believe I’m untitled do I loose the entitled I should or hope to receive or go through this trauma again when I’m not sure I will receive it Thanku Emily0

Hey there @Youngesoot1 and welcome to the community.
I hope you don't mind, but I've split your comment off into a new discussion so no one gets confused, I hope that's ok?
I'm sorry to hear you found the call difficult, it's not the easiest thing to go through, especially when you have to talk about previous trauma and I'm so sorry for your loss.
You can have someone with you for support, that's totally ok, they'll just want you to answer the questions as best you can. Just take your time and remember the call won't last forever.0 -
Thankyou so much for your response I’m not sure if I qualify for pip and I’m anxious that going into this is making me worse what chance do I have with depression, anxiety and trauma related issues do you think are these liable for pip never done anything like this before Thanku Emily0

Plenty of people claim PIP for all sorts of reasons. It's all how you're affected daily, it's not about any diagnosis. So if you're having a hard time, then PIP might be right for you.0
