I need inportant advice regarding filling in my PIP application. I have a number of health issues but which one do I put down on my online application?
My first health issue is regarding my sleep - I have obstructive sleep Apnoea syndrome + Periodic limb movements + Parasomnia.
My second health issue is regarding my left wrist as ive had Scaphoidectomy + radial styloidectomy + four corner fusion of my left wrist. Which I now have limited movement of my left wrist 30%
Which one would be the best health issue to put down on my PIP application as I would they both impact my day to day life but in different ways?
Your advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

You would put all your health conditions down. Although PIP isn’t awarded based on a diagnosis or the health conditions itself, whether there’s any entitlement will depend on how your conditions affect you.
When filling out the form you need to give as much relevant information as possible, without telling your life story.
Also include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.Use extra sheets of paper to fully explain everything. Make sure you include your name and NI number on everything you send. They very rarely contact anyone for any evidence so any extra evidence you have to support your claim should be sent with the form.It does help to have some knowledge and understanding of the descriptors and what they mean. I’d advise you to spend sometime having a read of this first before you start to fill in the form. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria#daily-living-activitiesIf you need extra time to return the form you can ring PIP to ask and they will give you an extra 2 weeks.0 -
So should I combine both health issues and the impact they both have on a day to day basis?0

Just tell them the impact both of them has on you.0
