Council housing Advice
Hello everyone,
I need some advice regarding my housing please. I have 3 small children aged 11/8/4. 2 of my kids have special needs. I was living in a 1 bed flat and received section 21 notice in 2020. I contacted the council and found some properties myself which they couldn’t secure those for me. Later HPAS team offered me a private rented property which I accepted but they lost all communication with that landlord and couldn’t give me the property. I gave a moving-out date to my landlord at that time and was in a difficult situation. My youngest child has complex heart defects and was going through several major open heart surgeries at that time. The property I was in was damp and mouldy. I was desperate to move to another place due to my son's health condition.
2021 I found a property myself, contacted HPAS and moved in. The property is very very small. HPAS knew about the size of the property as they received all the measurements of the rooms. The property is Not even standard-sized bedrooms for a 3-bed property. The main bedroom is 9sqm and the standard size should be atleast 11.5sqm . the single bedroom is 6sqm where the standard size should be 6.5 and the box room is 3.9 sqm which shouldn’t even be counted as a room as this is too small.
Since I moved into this property I cannot bid for any property in the housing register as the council says I am in a suitable property. When I moved in my kids were younger and I adjusted but now it has been more than 3 years. My eldest and youngest have Autism and it is getting very hard for us to live in this property.
Can anyone please advice me what should I do on this situation? Who should I contact with? My landlord is very nice and the property doesn’t have any other issues. It is just too small for a family of 5 with 2 special needs children.
Thanks in advance

Heya @farzukhan84 and a very late welcome to the community. 😊
I'm sorry to see no one was able to advise you with your issues. Sometimes discussions can get lost if it's really busy. Have you managed to get any advice on your situation yet? How're you getting on?
