Phone call following tribunal win
Does DWP always call to ask if you've been in hospital or prison etc, after a tribunal win? I've been receiving PIP at the lower rate for a year now but won my appeal for a higher rate. Do they still need to ask the question about hospital or prison etc?
Also, does anyone know which phone number they call from? Last week I had 4 missed calls from different mobile numbers but with no voicemails left.
My tribunal was on 2 May. I've had a confirmation letter from HMCTS but I've had nothing from DWP yet. I received my usual PIP payment last week with no reference to the new rate or back payment.
I know it can take up to 8 weeks for the new rate to be set up and beforehand back payment is paid but I'm keen to find out about this phone call.
Many thanks

Yes they will still ask those questions. Usually when they ring it's from an 0800 number. You can also ring them to give them the answers to those questions and it will save them ringing you.

Thanks Poppy. I assume I just call the usual PIP line. When I've got a spare couple of hours to waste!
Thanks again

I called them earlier. 35 mins to get through so not as bad as some. They told me they could see the information from HMCTS but it was 'in the queue to be processed' and that the current wait is approx. 5 weeks for backdated payment. I asked for clarification and he back tracked and said 5 weeks 'to be looked'.
I tried to give him answers to the questions they would ask me and he said he couldn't log that info but if I'm already receiving payments and my circumstances haven't changed (ie I've not been in hospital or prison recently) there was nothing to record anyway.
So not very helpful but at least confirmation the decision letter is in the system.
