Hi to all members.

I have had PHN for almost three years after having shingles. the area I have PHN is around my right eye and the right side of my forehead. I hve been presribed Gabapentin 900mg three times a day and amitriptyline 50mg taken at night.

I was referred to the pain clinic and they injected me with a nerve blocker but sadly this did not work.

I have itching and pain most of the day.

Has anyone out there got any helpfull information please

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with PHN and it's a pity the nerve blocker hasn't helped. Has your GP been able to offer any other suggestions of what to try next? Unfortunately we cannot offer medical advice on the community.
