Could you take part in our Election Accessibility Survey?
Disabled people often face barriers to both voting, and getting information in the run up to an election.
Take our survey about how accessible elections are for disabled people. We'll share the information you provide with people running to be an MP so they can create an accessible campaign and understand why it is so important.
If you could spare two minutes to fill this in, it's really help us. 😊

I did this and gave my thoughts on how accessible voting is to me
I enjoyed explaining that the campaigns are not accessible to me at all but for which I’m glad because I prefer to do my own research 😊

i thought this was really interesting because it didn't occur to me it was an issue. i thought about that and then thought how much is it linked with how techy both you and your candidates are. I have severe scoliosis and walk with a rollator, can't walk without holding on to something. At the mo i have various other afflictions, e.g. an autoimmune disease. i am not about to take a taxi to a polling-station.
I have a postal vote which is straightforward to get. You don't have to justify why you need it.
i am a member of the Labour Party. My constituency recently chose its candidate. i was inundated with texts and mail and links, so much so that i wanted to tell them all to go away - i wasn't well at the time!
Additionally there are Zoom meetings.
i live in a very political part of the country - campaign material through the letterbox - it's not just whether you find them accessible but whether they bother to access you.
The rollator has the benefit of a seat, so comes the election i look forward to chatting to the Tory candidate on the doorstep if s/he really really wants to know what i think

I have filled it in.
I also have a postal vote, which was more because I was studying and so away some of the time. I would be ok going to the polling station to vote, though. It's not big and I know it, and I usually go with family when I do go (used to go always in person). I don't have mobility issues but the site has good access for wheelchair users.
I do hate the dogs outside though. I know it's a national meme but I'm afraid of dogs. That's not really a political issue, though. More of a people taking their dogs to vote (not talking about service or assistance dogs) when they can't enter the polling station. It's rude.
My biggest issue is the lack of canvassing from all parties in this area. A long term incumbent in a 'safe seat' means that there's sometimes a lack of effort from other parties.

Hey Biblioklept, what device and browser are you using? I could check to see if that might be an issue! I'll check if there is another method for you to give feedback as well.
