When would my pip assessment be sent to dwp
Hey guys, I'm claiming for the first time after being told that I should have claimed for YEARS. Anyway, I had my telephone assessment over two weeks ago but when I've called the pip inquiry line, they keep saying it still hasn't been received by them. I was under the impression it would take between 2 days - 1 week for it to be sent to them. This is making my anxiety skyrocket. Has anyone gone through this before?
Thank you for any insight you can give :)

Yes, this happens sometimes and usually means it's likely been chosen for audit. The audit means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. The only bad thing is that it does delay the decision making process because it can't be made until it's been returned. Once it's returned a decision can take up to about 12 weeks.

Hey guys just an update, I received `a letter from DWP that they have all the information they need now and later had a call saying that the payment and letter should arrive by next week hopefully. Poppy I believe you were correct and my assessment went to audit. Assessment was on may 7th and the call and letter that they have finally received it was today - 11th June. I'm just praying they give me what I am entitled to and not less.
Thank you for your help :)
