Using Relay UK for PIP assessment

Hi all,
I know you can use Relay UK to contact dwp and to start a PIP claim but they are refusing to conduct my assessment using it saying it will take too long. My autism assessor have written to them about my right to ask for reasonable adjustments but they haven’t replied. Has anyone done their assessment using Relay UK? Thanks!

Hi, I was wondering if I could ask what the outcome was with this please? 🙂
I'm having the same issue at the moment; they (the Health Assessment Advisory Service, who do the assessments) have acknowledged my request for Reasonable Adjustment (using Relay UK), which has been refused twice now, as they have stated they haven't got the ability to use Relay UK - I believe this is nonsense, and have made it clear several times that Relay UK is Government-endorsed and a HAAS like them would be expected to have this capability to include use of it.
Currently, they keep booking telephone assessments, then I'll send them a letter to request use of Relay UK etc, and they will then cancel the appointment and explain they will contact me again soon. Then, the cycle continues.
